A thanks to the founder of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is full of citrus. Taste is citrus, light tropical fruits and malts are present. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a quality beer.

A very nice and fairly easy to down beer, but with enough complexity to entertain. Definite signs of the citra hops, with lemony notes and some nice pine-like aromas too. Very nice mouthfeel.

Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant "Citra IPA"
16 fl. oz. can
Notes: Fairly clear golden body teeming with fine bubbles beneath a short but creamy head of white. Better than average head retention but only average lacing. The aroma is citrusy with lemon and orange, and somewhat tropical with peach and mango. There are also some hints of grapefruit and some light grassiness. The flavor follows and it's refreshing and fruity with a median carbonation that leads to a dry, citrusy finish. Medium to medium-light in body and fairly crisp. Very nicely done, and a good representation of what Citra hops deliver.

on tap at iron hill west chester this afternoon.
looks pretty good in the glass, somewhat hazy deep yellow body,, nice bright white head which persists leaving nice lacing.
some citrus hops aroma
tastes pretty good too, a decent bite from the hops, nice fruity wash, pleasing malt background.
the feel is somehow a little dead. about medium on the mouth, citrus hops on the finish.
overall, very drinkable, sessionable ipa. feel a bit of a letdown, but overall, certainly an above average drink.
