Had on tap at the North Wales location. Served in a pint glass...
A - Although listed as a Pale Ale, this one was a medium amber color. Reminded me a lot of the color of an American Red Ale. A big frothy eggshell white head was present - about 1.5 fingers thick. The head was bubbly and tight.
S - The smell was all Sorachi-Ace hops. Bright citrus comes through in the form of lemon peel and some tangerine. There was a solid malt backbone as well. Aromas of caramel and some biscuit. I didn't really pick up on the coconut that the description mentioned.
T - The taste mirrored the nose for me. Bright citrus out front. Lemon peel, tangerine and a slight bit of spice from the hops. Caramel an biscuit malts stand strong in the face of the Sorachi-Ace hops.
M - Medium bodied beer. Ample carbonation that was fuller on the tongue than I would have thought.
O - Pretty nice Sorachi-Ace centric beer. At a low ABV, it was very easy to drink. I could definitely see a growler of this accompanying a Phil's game perfectly.
