a: Slightly hazy pale golden color; served with a small fizzy head.
s: Grainy with a surprisingly strong hop presence. Noble hops with some lemon rind.
t: Very hoppy for the style I think, but I haven't had that many. Earthy grains and grassy, kind of lemony hops.
m: Crisply carbonated
o: I've only had a few kolschs, but I know I've had much better. In fact, I had an excellent one here. This was too hoppy and lacked the yeasty, light fruitiness I was hoping for.

Draft offering served in a wine glass. The brew appears a clear yellow color with a white finger that fades leaving strings of patchy lace sticking to the glass.
The aroma includes a familiar scent reminescent of noble grassy and lightly herbal hops. There is a bit of pine-like spicy hop aspect also present. A faint amount of lemony citrus touch overtop straw-like grain base.
The taste is clean and grassy with a mild herbal bitterness somewhat like lemon citrus or zesty pith/rind. A bit of fresh bready grain backs it with a soft undernote of fruity alcohol to blend things out.
This is a medium bodied brew with a modest amount of carbonation. It is clean, fresh, easy drinking and nicely balance for a kolsch. A bit over-hopped if thats possible to complain about but really it kepleps it entertaining.
