Keller Kolsch brewed with crisp German malts and clean German yeast. It's a light-bodied, crisp beer that will have you soaking up the sun as the days are getting shorter. "We're all here together and the weather's fine. Dancing in a dream and we're free of time."

Heliophile is clear, with a slight chill haze. Two inches of fine, white foam slowly recedes to leave patches of lace on a Steigle stange. The color is pale straw with a slight golden tone (SRM 1-2). Swarms of tiny bubbles vie for position as they race upward.
The aroma has a dusty grain sensation. Pears and faint cherries are discernable. This has a simple and elegant quality.
The flavor follows the nose without any dustiness. The grain has a crackery and prominent presence, while remaining delicate. The balance between bitterness and sweetness is well maintained and modest. Mineral notes compete with grain in the long, mild and dry finish. Surprisingly, it warms well, especially given it is a Kolsch.
The texture is soft, smooth, and crisp, similar to taffeta. The body is light to medium. Alcohol is present, while the carbonation is cleansing yet soft.
Strangebird is a very welcome new brewer in Rochester, NY. This is another exquisite example of their craft. I enjoyed it while reading on a cold, mid-Autumn afternoon. It would shine while watching baseball or football. Thanks to Dave.

On tap at Strangebird in Rochester, NY intolerant kolsch stange.
This one pours a mostly clear, slightly hazed golden yellow color, with a small long lasting head and lots of lacing.
This smells like fresh baked bread, lightly grassy hops, and light honey.
This is really solid, with a quite spot on malt character - bready, crusty, and lightly honey sweet. There’s a nice overall effervescence, with a crisp light hop bite on the finish.
This is light bodied, very clean, and very drinkable.
This is definitely very enjoyable, and one of the better beers I’ve had from this brewery.
