On tap at Strangebird Beer in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a golden brown-ish color, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.
This smells like light spicing, blackberry, raisins, oak, honey, and dark breadiness.
This is definitely one of the best Strangebird beers that I've had yet. The barrel character is really complimentary to the base beer here - adding a really fruity and oaky character to the breadiness and rasin character of the base beer.
This is medium bodied, warming, but not with too much booziness overall.
I am always down for new inventive barrel aged beers coming out of my city.
