On tap at Strangebird Beer in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a light straw yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like corn, grainy spice, and lemon.
Most Rochester area breweries feel like they have to put out a classic cream ale, because we’re in Genesee country. A lot of them aren’t good – but this one is. This is crisp, with a nice bite, and a smooth slightly sweet finish. There’s some corn, grain, lemon peel and grapefruit zest. It’s really drinkable, with a smooth clean finish.
Pretty much any new Strangebird in a lower ABV range is going to be a must try for me.
