Collaboration with Frequentem Brewing Company.
Agree on Neon is a Czech Amber Lager, aka Polotmavy Specialni, that’s been barrel-lagered for 2 months. Brewed in collaboration with Frequentem Brewing Company, Agree On Neon embodies old world beer made fresh for today’s craft beer drinker. Strangebird incorporated its persistent proclivity to wood and Frequentem’s continental brewing techniques to make this Czech Amber lager.

On side pull tap at Strangebird Brewery in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a golden toasty looking amber color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells quite toasty, with some light oakiness, caramel, and a touch of tea-like bitterness.
This is a collaboration between Strangebird and Frequentem Brewing, two of my absolute favorite local breweries these days, so of course I had to try this one. It’s super toasty, with a subtle but welcoming presence of oak here. It’s got a some lightly sweet caramel, and a floral and tea-like hop character that presents some bitterness on the very back end.
This is light bodied, crisp but slightly creamy, with a great drinkability.
This is a style that I’d absolutely expect both breweries to crush, and I wasn’t wrong.
