On tap at Strangebird Brewery in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a golden pinkish-reddish color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like, well, raspberry and lime, but in a really refreshing and inviting way.
Bird Light is a really, really well done light lager, and the various fruited versions of it are really tasty. This is a bit more fruit forward than the Yuzu version or the Tangerine version, as raspberry is definitely a stronger fruit profile. But the fruit still doesn’t completely subsume the lager here, leaving a crisp, lemony, bready, and lightly spicy feel with which a soft pleasant blanket of raspberry and lightly tart lime was laid across.
This is very light bodied, crisp, clean, and extremely drinkable.
It shows how good Strangebird is that they are making me a care about a fruited light lager.
