Can purchased from Strangebird Brewing in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a slightly hazy golden orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like, well, mango and lime, of course, with some lemony hops.
Strangebird tends to do fruited light lagers very well. There’s a heavier hand to the mango and lime than the Bird Light series, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing, as the light tartness of the lime melds with the mild hop flavor and the creamy sweetness from the mango.
This is light bodied, and very drinkable, with a smooth finish.
The Rochester Cocktail Revival is always a fun time, and this would be a nice beer to pair with a really well made cocktail.
