Teutonic Chronic is a North German Pilsner. This beer is made with German pilsner, munich, and carahell malts, and German Magnum, hallertau, and MF hops. For Teutonic Chronic, we used an ancient method of mashing called decoction. The result is a complex malt flavor and aroma that is distinctly European.

On side pull tap at Strangebird Brewing in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a golden light yellow color, with a nice fluffy head, and lots of lacing.
This smells wonderfully bready, with a nice earthy and spicy character.
Strangebird is exceedingly adept at this sort of thing. This has a fresh, zesty, and spicy hop character to it – herbal, slightly earthy, and pleasantly bitter. This is all laid on top of a bready and lightly sweet malt backbone. Everything is in its exact right place with this beer.
This is light bodied, super crisp and clean, and very drinkable.
A new lager is a cause to run right out to Strangebird for me.
