Blended IPA in collaboration with our good friends at @industrialartsbrewing in Beacon, NY, we blended two completely different beers to make Wild Impact. We took Industrial Arts’ triple IPA, Impact Wrench, and blended it with Strangebird’s barrel aged sour Belgian strong ale. We then dry hopped the blend with Equanot hops, the same hops we use for Pillowhead Dry Hop. The result is a tropical, hoppy, sour beer.

This one pours a fairly hazy golden orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like pineapple, melon, white wine, strawberry, and orange.
This has a really nice peppery and tart acidity, with a really nice melony and candied pineapple thing going. There’s some nice oaky wine barrel here, too.
This is medium bodied, very drinkable, with a manageable and not too intense acidity to it.
I really enjoy these IPA collaborations they’ve been doing, blending a Strangebird barrel aged sour with a tasty IPA.
