5 months old. Can to willi.
L: Pours a muddy dark brown with a foamy light brown head that dissipates rather quickly and leaves just a bit of lacing. Some very fine, star dust like sediment is floating all over the glass.
S: Malty with notes of caramelized brown sugar and some roasty hints. Chocolate, candied cherries and a tad coffeeish.
T: Malty and a bit roasty in the beginning before caramelly milk chocolate is taking over. Very sweet body with some subtle bitter notes here and there.
F: Full and creamy. Medium carbonation.
O: Not your standard Brown Ale by any means, this one really caught me by surprise with its intensely sweet chocolaty notes. Tastewise it’s closer to a stout while it drinks like a creamy Brown Ale. Great beer! Haven’t had something similar before and would definitely drink it again.

Rerate, 440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8.0%. Very dark brown colour, moderate and creamy beige head. Sweetish aroma of malts, caramel, burnt toast and chocolate / cocoa. Sweet flavour with the same elements, too sweet for me, unbalanced. Won't buy again.
Original rating: On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Dark brown colour, off-white head. Aroma and flavour of malts and chocolate, quite sweet. I think I have a can of this one in my stash too, might re-rate.
