Salikatt Juleglod - Anno 2025 10% Belgian Quarupel
Bought from the 'Vinmo' in central Oslo
L- Black swamp-water, 2mm mid tan bubble ring.
S- Quite mild considering, but I get a bit of festive spice.
T- BOOF! Punchy and deep stewed fruits, into a hoppy finish.
F- Reminds me of a Barley-wine. Pungent, deep, well masked ABV% considering it's 10%
O- Very nice, a slow-sippin' Xmas beer.

Copenhagen 17/5 2025. 44 cl can from Best f Beers web-shop. Black can with an ornamental church window in gold.
Pours clear, dark mahogany with a mid-sized off-white head Stable. Settles as a thin patch of foam floating about. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is intense with a sugary and many odor mingling with a boozy scent. Sweet caramel and toffee. Brown sugar. Raiins and plums. Dark sweet liqueur.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, slightly viscous, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bittcernedsd. Aftertaste is sweet with a searing boozy streak. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry caramel.
A nice Norwegian take on a Quad.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Sauda. ABV is 10%. Very dark brown colour, looks nearly black in the glass. Moderate beige head. Pleasant aroma of malts, brown kandij sugar syrup and dark dried fruits. Relatively light bodied for its strength. The flavour is not too sweet, but has the same elements as the aroma, with very moderate hops. Pleasant to drink.
