Sevje (sap) is a West Coast double IPA saturated with old-school, piney, and dank hop aromas and flavors from Columbus, Simcoe, and Citra hops. The beer is dry, bitter and light in color, as a West Coast DIPA should be, with the Recognizable big hop character of the style. Enjoy!

440 ml can, as Salikatt Sevje West Coast Double IPA,from Vinmonopolet Sandnes Kvadrat. ABV is 8.0%. Moderately hazy golden to orange colour, moderate white head. Aroma of malts, birch sap and piney and resinous hops. The flavour is bitter and resinous throughout, also grapefruity notes, sufficient malts. A decent "old school" IPA.

Copenhagen 17/4 2026. 44 cl can from Beershoppen web-shop. Off-white can in Salikatt's usual design with the characteristic "S" in black. A branch dripping sap running horizontally on the top of the can.
Pours unclear golden yellow with a huge white head. Stable. Settles as a 0,2 cm thick layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a mild odor of tropical fruits mingling with a stronger citric scent. Sweet pineapple and passion fruit. Grapefruit and lime. Pine tres and resin. Sharp and zesty.
Low carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft and kind of flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a light sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
A bit on the flat side - but a nice take om a West Coast Indian Pale Ale.
