Poured from 330 ml bottle. Dark reddish color with beige head that fades quickly to a thin layer.
Sweet aroma of dark, roasted malts. Also some dark fruits, plums, raisins...
Taste is slightly bitter upfront, just a bit of sweetness somewhere in the middle. Aftertaste is even more bitter. Just dark, roasted malts in the taste, no fruit at all but cannot say I don't like it.
Medium body with light carbonation. Alcohol is present but not offensive in any way.
Overall this is a decent Doppelbock. Not as complex as others and not very balanced but it's not a bad beer. If you like roasty and malty beers that lean more towards the bitter side, you'll like this one.
