a fine german pils with good proportions and high refinement, this is clear and golden and mellow, easy drinking, a little more grain than yeast forward, and overall another good lager from these guys, who seem to be capable of just about everything in their early going. this definitely has a european vibe to it, fully german on the lager yeast, mild as it is, its doughy and a little rustic and there is enough of it in the taste for this to me multidimensional. the hops seem noble and traditional to me, pretty grassy in terms of aroma, but not overly flavorful, more of just a bitterness on the finish that crisps this up nicely with the drying yeast, its good balance, not over hopped at all, but the hops that are here are right on. i like that this has just a touch of sweetness in the middle but is dry by the finish, the body is light but not too light, and this is well executed overall, completely without technical flaws of any kind, and a testament to their high attention to detail in their brewing here. i have been really impressed so far with just about all of their beer!
