Straw color with a touch of haze. Moderate head that retains a bit of film on the surface. Plentiful but thinner streaks left behind on the glass.
First whiff is of a faint floral hop. Next comes the pale malt followed by raw barley kernals. It's pleasant, subtle, and unassuming.
This is a dramatically more bitter (hoppy) Pilsner than most, certainly more than anything from Germany. Good body--slightly full--with a ample level of carbonation. The malt portion has a bit of graininess but otherwise is a good representation of the style. The finish is quite bitter and creates a longer than expected aftertaste for a Pilsner.

There's plenty of carbonation as a the entire contents of a pint can were emptied into a clear glass liter mug. The proper just-off-white head lasted very shortly. Brightly and lightly golden-amber, the beer body is rather translucent, despite all the bubbles. The aroma is mildly hoppy and breadlike sweet, just like a German Pils should be. Hoppier than expected, this still catches the best attributes of the style nicely. The moderately pronounced bitterness is welcomed and the starches are enough to provide a good Pilsner body without getting too much sweetness in the way of the overall taste. No glass lacing expected and none observed. For a style that brings its limitations, this is a good one, almost a hybrid of German and Czech Pilsners.
