This beer is advertised as a Sweet Potato Ale. The beertender described it as an amber ale with Thanksgiving spices. The taste most closely resembles the pumpkin variety as it has all of the typical autumnal spices as well.

While pouring, it looked like there would be no head, but halfway up the glass the bubbles emerged to the point of pouring away half of them. Good lacing. Solid brown color, a bit murky, but light passes through the center of the glass.
Subtle aroma of semisweet caramel and fresh baked bread. No notable spice here.
The body is chewy but with a corresponding level of carbonation for balance. The flavor is like a rich pumpkin ale. Nutmeg and corriander appear to be the strongest spices giving this beer a pie-like flavor. There is a light bitterness in the swallow that prevents this beer from becoming cloy. While the finish is rich, it dissipates in the aftertaste. No indication of the 9.5% abv...very deceptive!
