Taster at Bella taproom. Clear, pale golden body, small creamy head. Light roasty aroma, with the coffee notes takeing over in the flavor. Not overly done with the coffee, but still a bit lacking

this is the beer trend that wont die. blonde stout, when will it stop?! fortunately, late as this beer is to the party, its better than most, and another bella beer from my recent session that shows a lot of technical improvement over the first time i engaged with their stuff. they must have made some changes on the production time, because whatever you want to say about this style, its technically very solid beer. the coffee is huge in it, and that will never draw a complaint from me! tastes like beans or warm brew was added, as there is a touch of acidity to it, but it doesnt bother me much, as there is enough sweetness and body that needs to be cut through here, so it seems intentional and right for this beer. lots of roast too, surprisingly deeper than a lot of these, and still isnt stout to me without dark grain, it comes pretty close in terms of aroma and flavor, some dark chocolate and faint smoke and bitterness too. the beer is sweet, a baked sweetness all the way through it, almost candied in some way beyond the malt, but the flavors are all very agreeable and the last thing i taste here is coffee bitterness not grain or added sugar. ill never adore the style, but i am pleased to see these guys evolving so rapidly now!
