On-tap at a happy hour Thursday at the brewery; served in a pint glass.
A: Dark gold, clear, with an egg-shell head that laces well.
S: NWIPA here; dank and resiny, tropical hop candy; malt sweetness; bready.
T: Follows the nose with moderate bitterness; resin; pine; grapefruit rind? Bready malt, caramel; impressions of mango; herbal & earthy notes as well.
MF: Medium, creamy-ish, fairly bitter with a dry finish.
O: It delivers on the brewery description, a Northwest IPA in the vein of a malty, tropical, resiny, bitter, but fairly balanced, brew.

for me this was easily the best of the beers we had in here, clean and fruity, distinctive in the hop complexion, very drinkable, clear as can be, idaho 7 hops likely to my nose and palate, this has me excited about loose screw, and really is the best beer ive had to come out of this building under any name to date. nice foaming white inch of head from the tap, aroma of canned pineapple, peach candy, and slight herbal bitterness, nothing at all from the yeast and very straightforward pale barley malt base, enough support for the hops but minimal enough to be out of the way in the taste, which pops with hop freshness but finishes clean and quick. an almost fruit cocktail hop complexion here, subtle pear and orange candy in the mix, very low bitterness through it, some oily west coast sort of richness to it, but this is real drinkable and fresh, summery even, green grape, mango juice, meyer lemon, tangerine. good carbonation, tidy ferment, and overall a beer good enough to go back for, even with the lousy service we had when we were in. they should package this one and get it out there, i was pleasantly surprised by this, very modern and professionally executed!

16 oz can from the Handlebar. Depp, clear golden, thin foamy head dissipates. Sweet malty aroma, but fruity too, tropical. Taste starts with a burst of sweetness, before a dry, sticky bitterness creeps in, coating the mouth. Tropical NW IPA, something different.
