unexpectedly delicious, maybe a step forward for these guys on the hoppy side, one of the few i can recall having here where the fermentation is this clean, nothing weird at the end, no stressed yeast, no zizzle, its tidy, and i think even though this is sweet from all the fruit, that its objectively better than some of their others because of this, very enjoyable and dangerous too at this strength. the alcohol is pretty well hidden and its summery vibes for sure, this could really sneak up on you! a little haze to it, a soft orange color and a fine white head from the tap there. natural mango in aroma and flavor, well ahead of the hops to both senses, sweet for sure, fleshy and ripe and real, with some sweet orange citrus character there too and not quite enough bitterness from the hops for this to present as balanced, but as a fruit forward beer its very fresh and natural and appealing. the hops have cool character too though, tangerine, subtle berry, and green pear, all compliment the mango well, and even though it could definitely take some bitterness to help it finish, i think it has wide appeal without it, even people lukewarm on imperial ipa should find this approachable with all the fruit. just a little alcohol comes out at temperature which is fine for the style, pretty light bodied for what it is too, and enough carbonation that it moves. overall cool beer, enough fruit like this can make a lackluster beer darn good, but it seems like they got the base beer down real well too this time. a great addition to their lineup and a clever and unique big ipa for summer. good stuff.

Big, sweet double IPA brewed with Citra as well as some more fringy hop variants to go along with 168lbs of mango puree, and boy-howdy does that mango come through. Huge mango flavors reminiscent of a fruit beer or pastry sour - sunset orange in color, hazy, with a loads of tropical fruit and citrus fruit and impressions of vanilla and coconut as well. Really, really good, but borderline cloying at times. STRONG mango.
