a blueberry kettle sour and a good one, summery and refreshing, not sweet at all from the berries, almost assuredly done with real fruit, this hits with a high degree of authenticity and is real drinkable for one of these because the sourness is restrained and not harsh, and because its super clean, not cheesy and weird, so this is new on each sip, almost kombucha-esque, quite well made and very simple. the color is hazy deep pink, but still backlit and light looking, fine carbonation and a reasonable head, a touch unvarnished maybe but the color is pretty. if its wheat based its only lightly so, like this isnt full of body or texture, its almost thin its so light, and the malt flavor is minimal, i like the grain being out of the way so the blueberries can pop, which they do. natural and lightly tangy, even tannic, nice with the clean lactic character in both aroma and flavor, it makes my mouth water and then the beer quenches the thirst it creates, cyclical in a cool way that has my glass drinking down real fast. light lemon, clover floral character, and straight blueberry, i like that its so recognizable but also isnt riding a ton of sugar to make its point. smart recipe and good execution, couple of nice sours on over here at the downtown meridian spot right now, i dont remember this being in the bag for them in the past, but it sure is now. love the vibrant natural blueberry in this one.
