Dark brown, minimal light penetration around the edges. Light tan head dissipates to nothing.

Aroma of oats, cocoa, roasted coffee, toast, pecan and walnut.

Flavor is of toast, roasted coffee, hints of mesquite, walnut, and oatmeal.

Medium body, stinging carbonation on the tongue.

Flavorful and easy drinking, pretty mild but not weak. Flavor profile is decent. Worth a try. As they go, this is a fine stout at 5%.

I tried this beer at the brewery. It was part of a four sample flight. It poured a opaque dark with thin ecru head that did not leave much lace. The scent had roast notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with subtle roast notes. The mouthfeel was lighter in body and had good carbonation. Overall it was a decent beer.
