Collaboration with Atelier der Braukünste.
For this special sour treat we teamed up with our buddies from Atelier der Braukünste. Soured in the kettle, whirlpooled with German Mandarina and Amarillo hops, then hot, fast and furious fermented with Kveik yeast, refermented on apricot-, mango- & passionfruit puree, dry-hopped with German and US Amarillo hops and finished with a touch of milk sugar. This dangerously drinkable and heavily tropical fruited summer crusher will make you roar like a t-rex on a hunt for a herd of big kahuna burgers!

Pours a hazy, bright orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and tropical fruit, with notes of passion fruit and mango, as well as just a hint of apricot. Taste is a great balance of light biscuity malt, tropical and lighter stone fruits, with notes of passion fruit, mango and apricot, as well as hints of citrus hops and a good underlying acidity. Finishes with a medium/strong acidity and some passion fruit and mango lingering in the aftertaste. Soft, pillowy mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
A very nice Fruited Kettle Sour with quite vibrant and fresh tropical notes as well as a good, quite disctinct lactic acidity that doesn't feel overly sweet or boozy at all despite the ABV and use of lactose, which is thankfully hardly noticeable, but perhaps contributing towards the rather soft and pillowy mouthfeel here. You can even notice the zesty citrus hops poking through all the tropical fruit here, which adds a nice touch. Overall, this makes for a very enjoyable and refreshing example of the style with a vibrant fruitiness and good acidity that never turns too sweet or boozy.
