Pours a hazy, dark orange coloration with a medium, fluffy, lasting head. Smells of light biscuity malt and tropical/citrus hops, with notes of mango, papaya and orange. Taste is a great balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, slightly grassy and resinous hops, with tropical and citrus notes of mango, papaya and orange, as well as just a hint of pine. Finishes with a light/medium bitterness and some mango, grapefruit and pine lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.

Lieber Waldi is a fairly new and small brewery from Cologne that is really staring to grow on me. This makes for a pretty nice New England IPA that ticks all of the style's boxes, being fairly hazy, juicy and soft in mouthfeel, with some distinct tropical and citrus hops, as well as hints of resinous bitterness in the finish, which adds a bit more character to this.
