Outstanding head retention. Body is dark black ebony, but appears to be clear.
Very little on the nose; slightly toasty.
Flavor and feel, on the other hand, are nothing less than outstanding. Rich, thick, creamy, roasty, and toasty. Nicely balanced, with enough bitterness to cut down the sweetness from the thick malt base. Drinks somehow "bigger" than its modest ABV.
I don't know if they were aiming at Everett or King Titus (neither Baltic), but this beer reminds me of those benchmark porters. Outstanding!
