Having this beer on-tap at the brewpub on Peach Street in Erie, PA. Served in a snifter glass, this beer draws a clear, medium golden/light copper color with a white head that’s about half an inch thick one first to drawn and served. Head eventually settles to a thick white ring lining the inside of the glass and a big cluster swirl of film layer surface foam. Aromas of lightly toasted, bready malts along with some fruity esters along with a bit of spice and some Belgian candi sugars. A very similar flavor profile, with the aforementioned bready malts, A bit of caramel and some Belgian candi sugar sweetness, a bit of spice, hints of fig, and some yeast, the 9.7% ABV is also apparent in the taste here, but not in a bad way at all. Has a slightly crisp, mostly smooth, medium to full bodied Mouthfeel with light to moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish and all the flavors linger very nicely for the aftertaste. A very nice representation of this beer style.
