ABV: 5.5% Best before: August 21, 2013.

The beer pours red-brown and hazy in my tulip glass. A small one finger high, beige head.

Nose: Caramel, dried fruit, plum, raisin, dark bread, nuts and cookies.
Taste: Caramel malt, dried fruit, nuts, herbs and fudge.
Mouth: Light to medium body. Light carbonation (well it is best before 2013...) Short taste. Sweet and dry ending.

Easy drinkable with a sweet, nutty taste but not that special or great...

Some gushing occurs when the cap is removed.

The colour is dark copper, the liquid is clear. The high warm beige head sinks down quickly. Some lacing occurs.

The smell is maty and sweet with some nutty notes. Dried cherries. Dry minerals. Hints of strong red wine.

The beer got a light body, especially considering the sweetness. Caramel flavours, dried fruits. The malt profile reminds of Bock beers. Japanese cherries. Light body. Hay and minerals in the aftertaste, some growing alcohol. Caramelised sugar and hints of red wine in the finish.

The carbonation is light, the bubbles are fresh, almost sharp. The liquid is dry and somewhat thick.

I got the impression that this beer tries to be a Belgian dubbel brewed with German yeast and not enough malts. It is too thin and a bit alcoholic.
