Look: Pours a lightly cloudy dark yellow and quickly, a head blooms to the rim, slowly settling to reveal nice lacing left behind
Aroma: Orange, pink grapefruit, pine sap, crushed pine needles, lemon-lime, warm bread, and light floral notes
Taste: Follows the nose well, kicking off with a combo of sharp citrus and resinous conifer that quickly develop depth and synergy. Lemon-lime and floral notes peek in throughout and closes with more pine, fir, and citrus
Mouthfeel: Full, clean, medium-high carbonation, and lightly dry on the finish
Overall: I dig it. This is a tasty and old-school feeling IPA that was a surprise hook-up from my dad and one I hadn’t had nor reviewed yet. Solid C-hop notes along with the orange-heavy Amarillo, plus a good malt backbone and light bite. Nothing world beating here, just a solid IPA that I’d get again

DIRT ROAD BREWERY – NW IPA 7.2 abv
This a Philomath Oregon brewery . This an old school IPA with a twist of having Amarillo hops so not as bitter as old school IPA’s were. This a hoppy brew but a little smoother than many. Its ok but not my thing. If you like very hoppy beers you will like this beer its made using three hops : Armarillo, Cascade and Centennial hops give more body and complexity to the flavor.

Draft at the Bier Stein. Golden pour with a small bubbly white head. Aroma brings a nodeful of soft hops. Taste adds a nice malty, biscuity backbone and more of the classic, piney hops.
