Made from Chesapeake Pilsner, Vienna & Great Chit from Riverbend along with a bevy of select roast and chocolate malt from Epiphany Malt House. Step mashed and hopped with Czech grown Saaz. Rested cold in our oak puncheons for three months.

My buddy and i split a 4-pack that we picked up on Cellarest's 5th anniversary on 2-28-26 for $25.20. Canned presumably in the last half of February; consumed 3-31-26. Cold stored since purchase.
Beer poured dark brown with a nice off-white head.
Nose has notes of roasted malts with a vibrant chocolate taking over.
Taste is a mild to medium roasted malt base in which roasted chocolate emerges and shines thru. Herbal hopping balances along with the oak.
Mouthfeel is light bodied and smooth.
Overall, a delicious take on the style!

What a nice spin on Schwarzbier with the oak resting. Imparts just enough oak flavor and aroma to make the beer different and interesting but didn't outshine the base beer. This is not overly bitter either like some in this style can get. Well crafted.
