Made from a base of Chesapeake Pilsner from Riverbend, fermented cold in our acacia wood foudre. Hopped with Motueka hops from Garston Hops which is the southernmost hop farm in New Zealand.

Picked up a four-pack from the brewery cooler 4-17-26. No canning date but appears to be born in March; reviewed 5-27-26. Cold stored since purchase.

Beer poured clear gold with a nice head that has some hang time.

Nose has notes of tropical fruits and some dough.

Taste is a doughy biscuit malt base in which the hopping brings an ipa like lemon lime flavor with significant bitterness on the back of the palate; 6.5/10 on my scale.

Mouthfeel is light bodied and refreshing.

Overall, a well-made brew but the ipa hopping with a pilsner is worlds colliding.

Appearance: Clear pale gold, fluffy white head with moderate retention.

Aroma: Lime and herbal

Flavor: Herbal with lime and stone fruit. Low sweetness and low to moderate bitterness

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied. Drying. Short clean finish with trailing bitterness.

Overall: A clean, refreshing pilsner with a slightly different twist. The Motueka hops brings some light lime and stone fruit aroma and flavor. Still has some herbal/spiciness in the aroma and flavor to have noble hops-like presence. Wood fermenting is not quite as obvious as with some of their other beers but still notable. It's bright and clean. Dry finish.
