Made from a base of Avalon pilsner & Great chit malt from Riverbend. Hopped with Hallertau Mittelfruh & Hersbrucker in the kettle, fermented with our preferred German lager yeast. Rested cold in our oak puncheons for six weeks.

Picked up a four pack from Cellarest on 4-17-26 for $25.20. No canning date but presumably in March 2026; consumed for review 5-30-26. Cold stored since purchase.

Beer poured clear gold with a nice white head with the original pour.

Nose has notes of biscuit dough.

Taste is a biscuity front end in which the herbal hopping balances nicely and leaves some black pepper on the back of the palate; 6/10 on my bitterness scale. Oak dries the back end a bit.

Mouthfeel is crisp, clean, light, very refreshing.

Overall, this is another nicely done Pilsner from Cellarest!

Appearance: Pale gold with a very slight haze. Fluffy, rocky white head with good retention. Fast rising, champaign-like bubbles.

Aroma: Light floral hops; light doughy malt

Flavor: Low doughy malt, spicy/herbal hops. Wood barrel note. Low sweetness. Moderate bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Medium body. Drying. Medium length finish with trailing bitterness.

Overall: A solid, well made German style pilsner. Base beer checks the style boxes. Has a very mild wood barrel like note that adds some rustic interest to it. 4.5% ABV is a plus. It's crisp and refreshing. Agree with @jzeilinger's assessment below. Spot on German style pils. Enjoyable beer.

Many thx to CarolinaCardinals for this can!

A - Straw colored pour with some light chill haze and a thin, dense, uniform layer of foam resting on top with moderate carbonation.

S - A nicely balanced nose with equal doses of citrus, herbal, spice, spicey floral, and a clean biscuity malt aroma.

T - The malt base in this beer gets completely hammered with a wall of hops quickly scrubbing it away. A slight bit of grassy presence, herbally spice, some spicy floral, and a lingering spicy citrus piney bitterness that lingers on the palate for a good long time after the sip.

M - Medium body with lots of prickly carbonation and a small amount of thinness around the edges. Ends bone dry on the palate with a little bit of wetness underneath the tongue.

O - This is a pretty fantastic Pilsner and recommend if you like them dry and bitter.
