Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It pours a cloudy, bright, golden-honey color with a half finger, creamy, milk-white cap and soapy lacing with excellent retention. I'm impressed with the nose, which includes mild lemon and grapefruit, biscuit malt, and subtle floral hops. The taste opens with dry, slightly nutty, biscuity malt and a touch of caramel sweetness that is well-balance by lemon peel, tart grapefruit rind, dank pine, and earthy notes. The Cascade hops provide sharp bitterness throughout. It has a smooth, clean finish. This ale is crisp and lite with appropriate carbonation, and the 5.6% ABV gives it good substance for the style. Nonetheless, it's very drinkable and a second pour is not an issue. Overall, The Glenbrook is a basic APA but the Cascade hops really shine. It almost drinks like an American IPA.
