Tan head crests around one finger, loose bubbles create a dimpled surface, wispy lacing. Clear coppery red liquid, nice brightness in the glass. The nose has solid fullness to it, core of challah bread, caramel, honey, toasted grains, moderately grassy, on the main it's apricot, apple fruit scents, crisp dissolve, few lingering aromas. Medium-bodied, prickly carbonation and overall a dry and slightly bitter profile. Bready and nutty, grassiness elevates a few notches here. More spice than caramel. I kinda see the stated emphasis on melon. Mildly surprised to not get more citrus off it. Liked it better ice cold out of the fridge over approaching room temperature. (Canned 7/12/23)
