Løkken 6/7 2023. 37,5 cl bottle from Kvickly, Østergade, Middelfart. Dark blue label in Frederkshavn Bryghus’ usual design with a fellow poking up from a barrel.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small off-white head. Disappears almost instantly leaving a cola-looking substance behind. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a light sweet odor of dark malts with a touch of toast. Brown sugar lurking.?Soon overpowered by a more spicy and a bit rough scent of alcohol. Bourbon and rye.
Light carbonation. Rather thick, oily, viscous and soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong rough bitterness. Aftertaste is sugary sweet with a boozy, tart, rough bitterness. Lingering. Finish is boozy and quite dry.
More liqueur than beer.
