Copenhagen 16/4 2023. 37,5 cl heavy glass bottle from Beershoppen web-shop. Brownish label in Frederikshavn's usual design in a brownish version with a grinning Scotsman carrying a whisky barrel.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head. A bit bubbly. Settles as fat rim of foam running along the side of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense with a strong sweet almost sugary odor mingling with earthy and boozy notes. Dark malts, brown sugar, a bit of licorice, leather and humid soil, lightly smoked peat, sharp whisky.
Light carbonation. Rather thick, oily, soft, creamy, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong, sugary sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a searing quality. Lingering. Finish is sweet and boozy.
Powerful Barrel Boozer with a healthy addition of sugar. The CEO will certainly be in-comprehensive after a few of these.
