Copenhagen 21/8 2023. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Industrivej, Løkken. Frederikshavn Bryghus' usual design with the bespectacled gentleman impersonating a Scarecrow in a brown version.
Pours opaquer dark brown with small lightly beige head. Bubbly. Settles as thin rim of foam running along the sides the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sugary sweet for of maltsand dark alcohol with a touch of sweet liqueur. Brown sugar, toffee and generous amount of alcohol. Some burnt malts peeking in
Light carbonation. Rather thick, oily, viscous, sticky, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a heavy sweetness followed by an moderately strong sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is overwhelmingly sweet with a lurking boozy sear. Lingering. Finish is sweet liqueur.
A pretty heavy and overly sweet take on a Eisbock where you notice all 16% of the ABV.
