Stout 201 is brewed with smoked malt, carefully selected sugars and combined with an old English ale yeast. Stout 201 differs from the "200th Anniversary of the City of Copenhagen" edition, Stout 200.
When the beer is poured into the glass, the fine, creamy, cappuccino-colored foam on top of the beer indicates that a different taste experience can be expected than the relatively low alcohol content indicates. The aroma of the beer is dark chocolate, smoke, licorice and vanilla. On the tongue, you can feel a strong body with a creamy fullness without being sweet, the taste experience is spicy with a slightly strong bitterness from the hops and combined with notes of coffee and chocolate, this completes the taste experience of Stout 201.
Stout 201 can be combined with a juicy steak, goulash, spare ribs or simply enjoyed in the company of yourself or a good friend.

Copenhagen 24/6 2020. 50 cl bottle from Supervin web-shop. Apparently a smoky version of the Stout 200. the Danish flag and a round church on the label.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a medium-sized, dense, beige head. Settles as a thin layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet yet spicy and smoky odor. Brown sugar, caramel and dark chocolate. Lightly smoking odor peeking in. Tobacco and leather.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, creamy, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undercurrent. Finish is semi-dry.
A fine, not too sweet, porter with a light smoky streak.
