I have to travel to the land of the Beer Zombie with work tomorrow. Pensacola, FL is void of decent beer, so I decided to pick some more bottled beer up tonight for my trip (a tip I picked up from EyeChartBrew). Whilst doing so I found this one on the Shelf at Wine Country in Long Beach. Thankfully, fellow BA Tessa who works there decided to crack one open. Its a good job I got chance to try this before I bought it, or rather, should I say, put it back on the Shelf.
Presentation: A tacky green label on a standard 12 ounce brown bottle simply says St. Patricks Day Beer. No strength or freshness date.
Appearance: The brown bottle hid the surprise. Its pours a dark (but clear) green color with a light green wispy head. Wow, how original. Great surprise guys.
Nose: Smells like a very old sulfur laden Burton Ale that went south years ago, or as Tessa said Smells like ass.
Taste: Urrghh. Awful, skanky taste. Like a flat infected Bud Lite.
Mouthfeel: Extremely thin, barely detectable.
Drinkability: Didnt finish it.
Overall: Costs $1.30. Er, that's it.
Happy St. Patricks Day to all the pseudo Irish out there.
This is exactly what you all deserve.
