picked a 22oz. of this up without knowing anything about at Liquor Warehouse in Huntington Beach.
After not making it through a few sips of their Surf City Red, I had VERY low expectations for this. The color was a straw, yellow - light for an APA. The smell was full of barnyard and overly wheaty. The taste was downright awful - watery, wheaty with a sweet aftertaste. It was more of a macro-light beer than a crafted micro. There was far too much carbonation and the wheat flavors were just too intense. I didn't make it past the first few ounces.
Brewbakers is a BOP that, in my best estimation, sells their surplus beer to Liquor Warehouse, who then sell them at a very inexpensive price. This is not a professional beer by any means.
