On cask at the Beachwood BBQ, in Seal Beach, CA, Imperial Pint,
A: Pours a murky red, almost brown, full head of white foam, light cask lacing.
S: Hoppy preminently, very piney, caramelized sugar is secondary.
T: Very hoppy red ale. Lots of pine and resin bitterness, not a lot of citrus, light grapefruit is the most that there is. Malt is evident, typical red ale flavour of caramel and light sugar.
M: Cask lightness in carbonation, really liked the resiny, oily feel from the hops.
D: Another enjoyable, tasty cask brew from Heil brewers at Brewbakers. An easy pint to drink while enjoying a whimsical conversation at Beachwood.
