On tap at the brewery into pint glass. Pours slightly hazy ruby red/orange/amber color with a small dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas and flavors of big caramel, bread crust, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, and light roasted malts. Light-med herbal, woody, grassy, peppery hops and bitterness. Light dark fruits and maybe slight diacetyl in the aromas. Medium carbonation and body; creamy/bready munch malts and some sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Increasing bitter dryness, no cloying/astringent flavors. Very clean Munich malt richness and melanoidin complexity. Minimal complaints. Great for the style.
