Manhattan Brewing Company

Visited the brewery while I was in Manhattan on business. I had been told by locals this brewery produced the best local beer. It is located in an old storefront on a major street in the historic downtown area. It is a long, narrow space running away from the street, with a long bar along one wall and the small production area towards the back. Not fancy, but had a laid back and comfortable vibe, including a TV and console games and board games scattered around the tables. They had 12 of their own beers on tap, ranging from American Wheat and Czech Pilsner to Tripel and Nitro Stout. I tried the Polyester Pigeon Tripel, and was very impressed. I had a nice conversation about their beer offerings with the gentleman behind the bar. He knew all about them and was knowledgeable on brewing, perhaps being part of the brewing staff. I do recommend checking this brewery out.

 

Located on Poyntz and not in Aggieville. Lengthy space with a long bar going well back into the space. Love the K-State lavender motif. About 15 beers on tap with a wide variety of styles. The beers are good. Very friendly and helpful staff.
