Like most small-scale breweries, Wooden Ship started as a group of friends brewing on a five gallon system in garage. since those humble days of “garage nights” and tastings with friends, we have opened a seven barrel commercial brewhouse and taproom in the linden hills neighborhood of southwest Minneapolis, with room to grow and create some of the most interesting beers we can imagine.

Very small, neighborhood brewery with a very hipster vide and boating theme. The beer was solid and very unique. Not blown away by anything. Friendly and helpful service despite being very crowded and busy. Good selection of styles. So rarer ones. Yammit Gary is really interesting since its brewed with yams.

Southwest Minneapolis location on a corner lot. Small tap room, but very well lit, with windows on two sides. Gray blue painted walls with a modern wood plank floor. Outdoor patio with a heated tent structure. Street parking. Five stool bar, with other close grouped low, wood topped tables. Sixteen taps, with a good style selection. Canned beer and seltzer available to go. Cordial and informative staff. Prone to get busy, but sound paneling keeps the crowd noise to a tolerable din. Affluent clientele.

On the corner of Zenith Ave and 44th St in trendy Linden Hills. It took over from a violin shop and a Pilates studio. One houses the 7 barrel brewery its to the left and is visible thru a large window, the other is the taproom with 8 or so tables and a bar with 6 seats or and is located in back of the room. The inside is well built but is small. They have 1 garage door that opens to a very nice sunny patio with 6 large tables. Inside they had 9 beers on tap with crowlers and swag to go.Quite a variety of styles in 3 different serving sizes,I thought the beer was good for day 1 , and like that they had several different series and styles and will continually make new ones. Worth a visit
