Vibrations, my version on the New England IPA. This is a single IPA, not an oated to the max lactose bomb. Just a simple, clean, bright, and soft IPA with tons of flavor. You can crush these. That’s what it was made for. Each Vibrations will focus on a single hop. In this version we explore Nelson Sauvin.

Good beer. Pours a opaque very hazy golden color. Resembles the look of orange juice. The smell is refreshing. Lemon, grapefruit, and melon come through. The taste is similar to the nose. You get more of the dryness /slight bitterness of the peel of the fruit rather than the tartness and sweetness. It’s a good balance. The melon kinda takes a backseat to the citrus notes, however, it is there. The feel of this beer is amazing. It’s very smooth. Creamy even. Definitely a new one to add to my list.

16oz can. Stamped on can bottom is '07/21/22'.
Hazy, yellow gold colored body. One finger of fluffy white head. Thick partial rings of lacing.
Aroma is mostly from the hops - lemony grapefruit and cantaloupe. Quite fragrant.
Taste is fruity but not overly sweet. Grapefruit pith comes in mid palate, followed by cantaloupe. White wine flavor comes in at the end. Lots of hop vegetation in the aftertaste.
Soft mouth feel. Good carbonation. Dry finish.
The vegetal part of the hops are prominent here. Clean flavors nonetheless.

Bought can at Thirsty Pug. Exploring beers from Twelve Percent production.
DDH Nelson single hop. Hazy strawslightly brownish gold. White halo; some residual lacing.
Having been a Nelson fan from many years ago when I first had Alpine’s… I was looking fwd to trying.
Initially fresh from fridge; 3 months old. Light in nose and flavor; crisp on tongue. Disappointing.
But poured out 2nd half of can about 20 minutes later and was happily rewarded.
Beer had opened quite a bit. Nose was now noticeable expected wine notes. Flavor richer with hints grape, and expected passion fruit. Nice! Body has softened and rounded out.
Seemed still a bit restrained for a DDH.
Overall a nice brew once given some air and a little time before drinking.
