Rescued from the lower shelf at a local bottle shop, which vented the hot air from the nearby refrigerator unit. Bottled in ‘22 so wasn’t sure what to expect.
The pour was like used motor oil, thick, viscous pure black. The head was about about 1/2” and dark brown at the bottom, light brown on top. No lacing.
The taste was surprisingly good, vanilla, hazelnut and really smooth coffee. The stout was not MIA, present with the chocolate and coffee and leather and dark fruit. Good stuff.
The feel matched the appearance, viscous, thick.
OA, may need to go back and see if there are any other ones to rescue.

Poured a black body with pretty much no head at all. Aroma seemed to be a mild coffee bean smell with some hazelnuts added in. Smooth, medium-bodied beer, not hard to drink, coffee taste is strong but not overpowering and you get notes of chocolate, vanilla and hazelnut along with hints of dark fruits on finish (may just be me). and the finish has a slight boozy edge with coffee showing up as well.

A couple of deep stouts from Barclay, with one being a collab. Convergence is a focus on sweetness and roasted coffee. It has a low carb and thick but not pastry like. Great depth here just watch for settling when pouring.

Canned 5/26/22; drank 10/31/22 @ the Yarchives.
Inky black appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice, noisy dark tan head; no lace.
Dark roast coffee bean, vanilla syrup, hazelnut syrup & faint raspberry notes in the nose.
Thick, sticky mouthfeel.
Dark roast coffee bean, chocolate syrup & vanilla syrup flavors up front; a hint of raspberry syrup on the finish. Booze heat emerged as this warmed up.
Artificial tasting, sticky & pretty gross. Not one I'd recommend.
