Technically, the style was an accident. But as it turns out, it was a very happy accident!
In the early 90's, and Italian brewer setout to make a German pilsner. Failing to brew what he considered a real pils, he decided to put the 'kind of a pils' through a dry-hopping process by adding small amounts of hop cones to the beer. This process imparted Old World hop flavor into an unfiltered pilsner, and the Italian Pilsner was born.
In Bocca Al Lupo translates to 'in the mouth of the wolf' and is a common way to wish someone Good Luck in Italy. With it's golden hue, it's incredibly smooth finish, and sessionable 5.0% ABV, we wish you good luck trying to not have another one!
