Rich in flavor from German pale barley. Moderate noble hop character with a subtle spicy quality from hops and alcohol. German Lager yeast provides a smooth long clean finish that interplays the malt and noble hops.

A: pale yellow with some copper and burnt orange. A touch of chill haze. Huge, 4 finger rocky white head
S: sweet malts, caramel, and loads of grass. Some wheat and Noble hops and sweet grains and a bit of cardboard. A touch of sweet berries at the end
T: loads of sweet grains and grass. Generic sweet berries and some mild earthy hops. Sweet citrus , lemongrass and a faint kiss of wheat.
M: fuller side of medium with moderate to strong carbonation
O: IMO not as good as your regular Bock. Not bad, and has a nice unique quality as opposed to other examples of the style. More refreshing, which makes sense for summer

32 oz growler from the brewery.
Pale gold with excellent clarity. Medium-sized fluffy head and good retention that leaves some lacing on the glass. Fresh bready/grainy malts combine nicely with light spicy hops in the aroma. Flavor leans towards the malt but there is definitely balance there with the hops. Medium bodied and very clean in the finish.
This is on the lighter side, as far as color is concerned, for a bock. It doesn't have the toasted malt character that I associate with a Maibock. Think of a strong Helles lager with a bit more hop profile to it. Great stuff. Wish they would bottle some of these seasonals so they would be more available.
