On-tap @ High Point Brewing Co. in Butler, NJ.

Ramstein's 20th Anniversary Beer is an amped-up version of their Double Platinum Blonde (Weizenbock) partially fermented with French champagne yeast. It's only fitting that I enjoyed this at the brewery on Bastille Day.

Deep gold color with a slight haze. Small white head. Sharp banana and clove aroma. Rich malt flavor with no shortage of fruit and spice. The champagne yeast really helps this finish drier than the Double Platinum Blonde does. Very smooth finish with little to no sign of the 9.5% ABV.

Not a huge noticeable difference between this and the Double Platinum Blonde. A really nice and unique beer though. Happy 20 years to Ramstein, one of the OG NJ breweries, and here's to another 20!
