Got this on draft at the Cloverleaf Tavern.
A: Pours a dark brown body with a thick, tan head with nice retention and lacing along the sides of the glass until the finish.
S: A strong, banana ester smell with some sweet malt and alcohol undertones.
T: A pretty strong alcohol taste, which was atypical to the style. Banana esters were evident in the taste with some hints of cloves. A slightly bitter and malt aftertaste with additional banana notes.
M: A fairly light mouthfeel, which is typical of the style. Pretty crisp.
D: A pretty drinkable beer. Alcohol starts to recede into the background as you drink it and the banana esters make themselves much more evident. Worth a shot if you get a chance before the keg turns over at the Leaf.
